Our next stop was Hilton Head Island. We decided to stay there longer for two reasons: the campground was very nice, and it was perfectly located — not far from Savannah (Georgia), Tybee Island, golf courses, etc.
The weather was perfect when we arrived: sunny and 23°C. The campground was just amazing; we had our little oasis:

The next day, it started raining. We didn’t mind; we needed the rest and some time to do… well, nothing! We did get some nice days afterward: we dropped Meeko at daycare while we played golf. That way, everyone had fun 🙂
The golf course was just wow, with some holes close to the ocean. There were plenty of connected rivers on the course, so while waiting for the other players, we admired the beautiful houses—each with its own small pier and boat. It was our first time using GPS-controlled golf carts (blocking us from driving where we weren’t supposed to) and a tablet showing live distances to the pin and hazards… along with the occasional warning: “There are alligators on this hole, keep at least 20 ft away.” For once, we didn’t try searching for missed-shot balls if they got close to the water. :))

Meeko had good time as well.
During our stay, we visited Savannah. We took sooo many pictures, that it requires a post just for that 🙂 Stay tuned.
À tantôt!
