After spending one night in Cap-Chat, we took the coastline of Gaspésie and headed to Rocher-Percé. The coastline was nice, but after a while… well, everything started to look very similar to the last little village we passed, the last cliff we saw, or that lighthouse… The coastline was not as spectacular as we had hoped. It was still nice but not as dramatic, with cliffs and waves crashing against them, like we’ve seen in other places. We still enjoyed the ride, enjoyed each other’s company (so far in our 3k+ km journey, we’ve only listened to music in the car once, and that was for just a few minutes), and praised Meeko for behaving splendidly in the car (at the beginning of our trip, he was panting and drooling all the time).

We reached our next campground, and to our surprise, they didn’t have potable water… nor a site available for two nights in a row. Leaving the negatives aside, the beach was right next to us, so we paddle-boarded with Meeko, relaxed on the “inflatable hammock,” and watched the stars at night.

We visited Rocher-Percé and we loved it. To our surprise, the coastline was beautiful! The pier there, with the salty breeze, loud seagulls and waves splashing on the pier reminded us of San Francisco and brought back nice memories.
Meeko had his first “ice cream” and he loved it! We had super nice weather with a lot of sun, but also a lot of heat, so Meeko (with his long fur) had some challenges cooling down. He loved it at the pier, the breeze cooling him.

Another place we visited was Riviere au Émeraude. It was too crowded for us to stay very long, but we managed to take some photos. The colour of the water was spectacular!

We leave you with the Milky Way that you could see with the naked eye. The mosquitos were unbearable, but it was totally worth to stay outside and just watch the sky.

À tantôt!
