One of the “must stops” of our summer trip was Baie-Comeau, so we can visit the famous Daniel-Johnson Dam (formerly known as Manic 5). We initially planned to stay just 3 days, just enough to have time to do a day trip to Manic 5, then take the ferry from Godbout to Matane to cross Saint Laurent river and continue our trip towards Gaspesie. We ended up staying longer, due to ferry services being disrupted by labor strike.

The next day we went to visit Manic 5, but we’ll cover that in a post just for itself. We also did some hikes and visited Baie-Comeau city.
