La Malbaie

This is the place we consider the first official stop of our trip. We stayed there over the weekend to have enough time to explore the region. Previously, we had just passed through without taking the time to explore.

First of all, the campground was super nice. We said we wouldn’t do reviews on campgrounds since our trip isn’t about that. However, this one, as the name suggests (Camping Chutes Fraser), had a waterfall on the campground. So the pictures below… well, they’re from the campground 🙂

We chose a quiet spot in a corner of the campground. We are trying not to have too many neighbors as we get used to the experience. When we do our research online for the next campgrounds to stay at, we notice that a lot of them have small lots where you are so close to your neighbor that you could “hit elbows” 🙂 I am exaggerating, of course, but people who have camped before know what I mean 😉

Here are some photos of us and our setup.

Saturday, we did some some site seeing around La Malbaie, Baie Saint-Paul. We also did a hike around the campground (Chute St Georges).

We were there just for the weekend, just chillin’, as we headed to our next destination. From La Malbaie, we continued up north, with the next stop being Baie-Comeau.

Stay tuned for next post.
