Thank you everyone for your support! You helped us move on, without maybe even know it!

Ever since we started announcing our project to family and friends, we were welcomed with emotions spanning the entire spectrum: from “Congratulations! I am super excited for you!!!” to “ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND? and are you SELLING YOUR HOUSE ON TOP OF IT???” to “LOOOL! You never did camping in your life. I want to see this one! ROFL”. It happened also at work in various degrees, until people around us started realizing that we were doing this, that it was for real, and we were not joking. Eventually, we started to hear that we were inspiring others to do the same, to have the courage to take this leap of faith, and that it brings new perspectives.

We want to thank all of you because each of you has helped us along the way, sometimes without even knowing it.

Thank you for your support, for sharing those genuine emotions with us, and for being there for us during the ups and downs of the beginning of this adventure. Big reason why this blog exists is for YOU, to share this experience together.

To those that find us inspiring and now are thinking about doing something similar: JUST DO IT before it’s too late. If Cati’s father hadn’t passed away suddenly at the age of 66, maybe we would still be today in our house, still working, just thinking about it but not doing it. In moments like that, you realize life is short and you ask yourself: why wait? why later? why not NOW?

For our colleagues at work: thank you for organizing our farewell parties, but most importantly, for showing up and chatting with us about our project, and showing true interest. We were not expecting so much great advice and so many encouragements!

So here we are! A week into our sabbatical. Once again, thank you everyone for encouraging us, for being there for us. We are grateful!!
